Digital Economics at a glance
This Bachelor's degree program in economics operates at the interface of economics, computer science and social science topics from the fields of sociology, philosophy and law. From a decidedly interdisciplinary perspective, it focuses on the transformation processes in the economy and society associated with advancing digitalization and examines their effects on competition policy, macroeconomics and social policy. In terms of methodology, the course teaches basic knowledge of economics, computer science, mathematics, statistics and operations research as well as modern methods of econometrics, machine learning and artificial intelligence. The curriculum is rounded off by dealing with the legal and ethical aspects of digital transformation.
