Is the degree program admission restricted?
Yes, the course is admission-restricted. In recent years, there have always been more applicants than places on the Bachelor's degree course in Industrial Engineering and Management. You can find the latest admission results here.

Important deadlines: The application deadline for Bachelor's degree programs with restricted admission is 15.07. You must have sent your application online and submitted your complete documents via the application portal by then! It is not necessary to send original documents by post to apply to KIT.
By 22.07. at the latest, you must have prioritized your study preferences at www.hochschulstart.de. This means: The desired degree program at your preferred university should be in first place. Is a pre-study internship necessary for the application?
No, not at the time of application. Students from the winter semester 2015/16 onwards must complete a 12-week work placement by the end of their Bachelor's degree. You can find detailed information about the internship here.

What information is required for the certification of extracurricular / other services?

Do the documents as proof of extracurricular / other achievements have to be certified copies? Or is a simple copy sufficient?
May the proof of extracurricular / other achievements also deviate from the sample certificate?
Yes, if the necessary information is included (see sample certificate).
Work & Travel - can this be recognized as part of extracurricular / other achievements?
This will be decided by the selection committee on the basis of the documents submitted. Please enclose official certificates of your activities with your application. See sample certificate for required contents.
Can I get an advance estimate of how many points I will receive for extracurricular / other achievements?
Do I have any advantages if I apply earlier?
I have received an award for my very good performance in subject XY. Do I get points for this in the extracurricular / other achievements category?
I have lost the right to take examinations in my previous degree program. Can I still be admitted to the Industrial Engineering and Management degree program?
Students who have lost their admission to the degree programs listed here and/or their right to take examinations will not be admitted to the corresponding degree programs of the faculty. The list is not exhaustive. In cases of doubt, the examination board of the Industrial Engineering and Management degree program will decide:
