What can you do in the rooms?
The computer pool rooms of the KIT Faculty of Business Administration and Economics are available to all students for study-related work on computers, e.g:
- "Free practice": Here, every student can use computers and the abundant software available.
- Computer exercises for Bachelor's and Master's courses
- Free internet access (1 GBit/s)
- Access to the computers around the clock via KIT-Card
We are located in building 11.40, the "Kollegiengeäude am Ehrenhof". The pool rooms are located in the basement. There are two rooms available.
The same working environment is also available virtually using remote access via the Wiwi portal. Here, only a browser is required to log on to the computers and use all programs.
The Wiwi-Workspace is a multifunctional learning space. The room has large height-adjustable tables and barstool-like chairs to enable collaboration in a variety of ways. There is also a large multimedia whiteboard to facilitate digital collaboration. Plenty of power sockets, network connections and a projection option round off the offer.
The premises of the Wiwi-Pool
The Wiwi-Pool is located in the basement of building 11.40. There are four different rooms in total, which are supervised by a service team. Access to all rooms is possible via the KIT-Card.
- Wiwi-Pool I (S151) is the largest room and is equipped with 30 computers. Every KIT student has access.
- Wiwi-Pool II (S152) is a somewhat smaller room with 20 computer workstations.
- Wiwi-Workspace (S149) is a multifunctional study room with a large whiteboard and height-adjustable tables.
- Pool V (Multimedia) (S115) is the pool of the KIT Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and is equipped with 35 computers. Only students of the humanities and social sciences have access to this pool.
The reservation of a pool room is possible via this form.
The faculty's pool rooms have been in existence for quite a long time. You can find a few figures here.
