Economathematics (M.Sc.) combines mathematics and economics in a truly interdisciplinary way. The program is jointly offered by the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Business and Economics, bringing together expertise from two highly regarded KIT departments.

How the Economathematics Master’s program at KIT is organized

The program is highly flexible. There are no fixed compulsory courses; instead, you choose modules within required subject areas from mathematics and economics.

Master’s thesis (30 ECTS)

The Master’s thesis can be supervised by either the Department of Mathematics or the Department of Business and Economics.

The Master's programme is open to all applicants; there is no selection process. The admission requirements are set out in the regulations.

Binding details are governed by the study and examination regulations and the admission and selection regulations.

  • The application deadline for starting your studies in the winter semester (October) is 30 September. For starting your studies in the summer semester (April), the application deadline is 31 March.
  • Applications are submitted online via the KIT application portal.
