Wiwi-Portal
The Wiwi-Portal combines many of the functionalities offered by the faculty relating to studies and is available to all KIT institutions free of charge. The most important functionalities are briefly explained below:
Course offerings with registration (especially seminars and tutorials)
Students receive a convenient overview of all courses available for registration and are automatically informed about the current status of their application. In most cases, you can directly select preferred topics for seminars or specify preferred dates for tutorials. The system includes an optimization algorithm with which the lecturer can find an optimal solution for all students (under certain criteria).
To the course offer with registration
Examination information
The examination information system makes it easier to communicate and manage information relevant to examinations, such as examination dates, lecture hall seats or the personalized publication of provisional examination results. Additional functions, such as automatic e-mail notification, points/grades conversion or the display of statistical data, round off the service.
Appointment and office hours management
Employees can create as many schedules as they like, from weekly office hours to exam inspections and oral exams. Students can quickly see when the next appointments are available and book them directly. Select topics, choose an available time, add any comments and you're done! If necessary, they are automatically informed by portal message and e-mail when their appointment has been confirmed. And so that you don't forget the appointment, you can easily add it to your calendar via an iCal file!

Online forms
Using a standardized system, employees can easily create the forms they need and make them available to students. All information is transferred securely and you always have an overview of all the forms you have completed via the portal.
Laptops for economists
Students of the Faculty of Economics and Management can borrow laptops for their student work free of charge.
ERASMUS application
Would you like to apply for a semester abroad? The Portasl offers a clear application system during the respective application periods.
Access authorization
The Kollegiengebäude at Kronenplatz is equipped with electronic locks. The portal checks whether you have a valid KIT Card. You can access the building with a simple click.
Study rooms
In addition to the central study rooms, the KIT faculty offers a number of additional rooms for learning during the lecture-free period. All rooms are displayed on the page and whether or for how long they can currently be used.
