Certificate of title for graduates of a degree program

Once the degree course has been successfully completed, a certificate and diploma are issued.

Experience has shown that this process can take some time: the evaluation of the final examination (usually the final thesis), but also the administrative (control) processes for the correctness and completeness of the final documents, any corrections and clarifications, and the required circulation of signatures for each final document all take time.

As proof of successful completion of the degree program on the date of the last examination and as proof of the academic title acquired, it is possible for graduates in the KIT-Stg. to print out a certificate of graduation via the campus system. Prerequisite: All achievements required for graduation must be recorded in the system with your examination date at least as "passed "*) and finally published as proof of the academic title acquired (for more information, please contact SLE Student Services).

The certificate of title is official. It is available in German and English and should therefore be internationally accepted. Together with a current transcript of records (with verification key), it can be used to provide third parties with all formal evidence of the degree and content-related information, as can be found on the transcript and certificate (with the exception of the grade for the last ungraded examination(s), if applicable).

*) The statement about a "pass" can often be made well before the grade is awarded. In the case of the final thesis, this information is entered directly into the system by the examiners. In the case of subject examination grades, the information is transported via the 4.0 certification: The examining institute sends this internally after signing off
a) to SLE Student Services Team 2, if this is the last examination for graduation
b) to the WiWi examination secretariat if there are still other outstanding examinations. The certificates are kept there until the graduate is notified that all certificates are available as proof of graduation. These are then forwarded internally to SLE Student Services for registration.
