1. Where can I find relevant information about the admissions process for the Master's programme Industrial Engineering and Management?

2. How are students selected?
A ranking list is created based on the points awarded to each applicant.
- The final grade of the qualifying bachelor's degree programme is awarded a maximum of 30 points.
- The result of a subject-specific (GMAT/GRE) study aptitude test is awarded a maximum of 60 points.
- The final grade of the qualifying bachelor's degree programme is awarded a maximum of 30 points.
- The result of a subject-specific (GMAT/GRE) study aptitude test is awarded a maximum of 60 points.
3. Do I have to take an aptitude test to apply?
Yes, you must be able to prove that you have taken either the GMAT Focus or the GRE General Test. For the GMAT Focus, you need a minimum score of 550 points, and for the GRE General Test, you need a minimum score of 315 points.
4. Are points awarded for extracurricular achievements?
In the Master's programme Industrial Engineering and Management extracurricular achievements are not taken into account in the admissions process. It is therefore not necessary to submit any evidence of such achievements.
5. Do I need to include a letter of motivation with my application?
No, a letter of motivation is not used in the admissions process for the Master's programme Industrial Engineering and Management. A letter of motivation does not earn you any extra points.
6. Which degree programmes are generally eligible for admission?
All completed bachelor's degrees in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics are eligible for admission.
7. Can I apply for the Master's programme even if I have not yet completed my Bachelor's programme at the time of application?
Yes, if you have completed your Bachelor's programme by the start of the Master's programme you can apply. In this case, your provisional average grade will be taken into account. Your final grade will then no longer play a role in the admissions process.
8. Is the programme subject to admission restrictions?
The programme is subject to admission restrictions, i.e. if there are more applicants than places available, a selection will be made from among the applicants.
9. I have lost my examination entitlement in my previous master's programme. Can I still be admitted to the master's programme in Industrial Engineering and Management?
Anyone who has lost their admission to study and/or examination entitlement in the master's programmes listed here will not be admitted to the corresponding master's programme at the faculty. The list is not exhaustive. In individual cases, the responsible selection committee will decide.

11. How can I prove that I have taken the GMAT Focus or the GRE General Test?
Your test results will be sent electronically to the faculty using our centre codes.

12. How can I prove that I have sufficient English language skills
This is governed by KIT’s Admission and Enrolment Regulations which is currently only available in German. You can, however, find information in English on what is accepted here.

If any supporting documents required for the application are not written in German or English, an officially certified translation into German must be submitted for each document.
