The KIT Bachelor's degree programs from SPO 2015 onwards provide that, in compliance with the corresponding requirements of the SPO ...
..... Students who have already acquired at least 120 CP in their Bachelor's degree program can ... acquire credit points from a consecutive Master's degree program at KIT amounting to a maximum of 30 CP (preferential Master's credits). (...) The preferential Master's credits are not included in the determination of the overall, subject and module grades. They are listed in the transcript of records and marked as such and listed with the grades provided for in § 7. (...) The Examination Board shall decide on the approval of preferential Master's credits upon application by the student....(here from BSPO WiIng 2015 § 15 a)
... examinations can already be taken in anticipation of the consecutive KIT Master's degree program. All individual examinations from the consecutive KIT degree program of the same name are already stored in the CM examination registration system, as they have been approved by the Examination Board as Master's credits. Preferential Master's credits that are planned from other consecutive KIT Master's degree programs must be applied for via the WiWi Examinations Office. A simple application via e-mail (use your KIT account) with a current transcript of records as a pdf attachment is sufficient. In individual cases, it may be necessary for the responsible examiner to be consulted in advance and therefore their basic consent must be submitted together with the application.
In principle, there is no obligation to have Master's credits included in the Master's degree at a later date. This applies to both passed and failed credits. A failed Master's course can be repeated in the Bachelor's degree program.
